There’s nothing like outback hospitality and the Barcaldine campgrounds are the epitome of it. The grounds have delicious herbs and veggies growing right by the camp kitchen for any guests to use whilst cooking. 

Barcaldine itself is quite important for Australia’s history. The town centre is home to the Tree Of Knowledge, a heritage-listed tree that is the birthplace of the Australian Labor Party. Of course, there is also the six pubs on the Barcaldine main street that are worth a pub crawl.
