One of the hardest parts about living in a country that has so many incredible caravan parks and places to visit is choosing the next one. South East Queensland is filled with popular caravan and campgrounds but so many underrated hidden gems that are just as great. We have found five of our favourite hidden gem caravan parks in South East QLD that you definitely must visit!

5) Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park

Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park is in the Scenic Rim and a beautiful small parkland ideal for relaxing. There’s plenty of grass powered sites close to the amenities, a camp kitchen and so much to do! It’s only a few hundred metres to the iconic Queen Mary Falls and hand feeding the king parrots and crimson rosellas.

4) Bargara Beach Caravan Park

Just a bit up from Bundaberg, Bargara Beach is a beachside town that has so much to offer. It’s commonly called the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Lady Musgrave Island. The Bargara Beach Caravan Park has all the amenities you need as well as relationships with the Lady Musgrave, Lady Elliot and Mon Repos Turtle Centre companies, making it easier for you to book a tour.

3) Gordon Country Campgrounds

Out past the Gold Coast Hinterland, Gordon Country Campgrounds are green and lush. The campgrounds are at Gomburra Valley, a working cattle farm with flowing creeks and plenty of bushland to enjoy. It’s also a perfect campground for those who love to 4WD as they have a few tracks if you like getting the tyres muddy.
